A great place to visit and “hang out” is Old Pasadena, where you can find a plethora of entertainment. From Pasadena you are within about one hour’s drive (depending on traffic) of some of the best attractions in California. You can easily drive and spend a day at Disneyland, Knott’s Landing, Six Flags Magic Mountain or Universal Studios. If you plan to visit any of these attractions, it’s advisable to get an early jump on traffic and get there before the doors open. If just there for a day, many of these adventure parks offer special tickets to avoid lines at popular attractions, and are well worth the extra few dollars.Take a drive to Santa Monica and spend the day on the beaches and or the pier. Rent a bicycle or roller blades and ride up and down the boardwalk. There’s nothing quite like a day at the beach if your in California. You may choose to ride the Ferris wheel, visit the Aquarium or get a work out with the guys and gals on the original Muscle Beach.
Take a drive and make a day of it in Hollywood, maybe spot a star or two while shopping on Rodeo Drive. Find you favorite star ‘s hand or footprint on the sidewalk outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
