1 - Anchorage Inn, South Burlington, Hotel Front
In the city center, Anchorage Inn is in an area with good shopping. Shoppers can check out Church Street Marketplace, while everyone can enjoy the natural beauty of Lake Champlain and Waterfront Park. ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center and Gordon H. Paquette Arena at Leddy Park are also worth visiting. Our guests love the motel's central location.
This hotel was dirty and outdated with unprofessional staff. We arrived and were interrupted at check in to a man returning his key because the front desk clerk gave him access to a room another person was already in. He returned the key and said “I opened the door and saw a woman’s purse and coat on the bed and immediately came back”, the front desk clerk never apologized and just looked confused. We got checked in and I attempted to get in the room but after 4 swipes with a red light a man opened the door and said “wrong room”... I was mortified. I went down and said the same thing just happened! She gave me a new key and we got into an empty room with tape on the beds, broken blinds and a hot room where the temperature couldn’t be adjusted. The room had an unpleasant old musty smell to it. The bathtub was dirty. The icing on the cake was our neighbors partying and loudly blasting music until 3am. The vending machine was also out of water... don’t stay here ever!!! Not worth the cheap price. You get what you pay for.Review date: 01/08/2020 - Author: Kelley K.
