When to visit based on price
Your best rates are found starting in September through April, when temperatures turn colder.Key attractions
Of course the Niagara Falls is the attraction here, both day and night.Having fun
Lets face it, most of us have heard of or seen photos or movies of the Maid of the Mist boat ride below Niagara Falls. To truly experience the falls, one must see it from below, and take away the memories and photos of the mist raining down on you. You choices are the basic boat ride, and a “luxury” cruise, where experience Canadian and American sides. On this adventure, your trip includes “Journey Behind The Falls”, and lunch. If you need more excitement than the above, there’s always the choice of a Jet Boat Tour of the falls, which has become very popular.
Still another popular way to see the falls from a different angle is by taking a helicopter tour. These are an excellent choice here at the falls, and at many attractions around the world.
After the thrill of the falls, a visit to the Great Canadian Midway is in order. This amusement park, some 70,000 square feet of it, houses some of the most spectacular rides on the continent. A fun adventure for the family or honeymooners, this adventure is walking distance from the falls.
Not only will you experience Niagara Falls in a unique and exciting way to have, but the photo op is amazing. We’re talking about the Niagara SkyWheel that stands 175 feet above the falls itself. For those so inclined, you will totally amaze your friends and “followers” on social media with your “selfie” from this vantage point.
Shopping
For the shopper, there’s almost nothing like a few hours (or days) at the Canada One Factory Outlet” located on Lundy Lane. Here you will find over forty name brand stores. At the Outlet Connection you can experience outdoor shopping in a “open air” setting with well over 100 stores to browse.
If your spouse or significant other isn’t interested in shopping, try the Fallsview Casino Resort Shopping Galleria, where you can shop while you “other” can gamble or “lounge” it.
Of course you don’t want to forget the “Duty Free” store where you can foind Canadian Liquors and wines, in addition to some of the worlds finest “scents” and cosmetics for the ladies.
Nearby
For a totally different experience why not cross the boarder and see the falls from the American side? You can combine viewing the falls with a little shopping and experience dining on “the other side”.You may not realize this, but the Niagara Falls area is also known for producing some fine wines. For a day away from the crowds and water, why not experience a few sips of the area-produced wines. You can engulf on your own adventure by vehicle, or sign up for one of the local wine tours. This wine country tour takes you to Niagara-on the Lake, only twenty minutes out of Niagara Falls. You can choose a tour that picks you up at your hotel, and can include in addition to wine tasting, a dinner in wine country.
